Hadash, Ta'al, and Balad Plan Joint List for Upcoming Elections Without Ra'am

The leaders of Hadash, Ta'al, and Balad are set to meet this Saturday with the mediation committee responsible for determining the order of their joint list for the upcoming elections, ahead of officially announcing their alliance. This mediation committee, known as the "Reconciliation Committee," was established in 2015 to resolve disputes among Arab political factions and is expected to finalize its decision within about a week.

The committee is also working to establish a non-aggression pact during the election campaign between the joint list and the Ra'am party, which has declined to join the alliance. The parties hope to agree on terms to avoid negative campaigning against each other and to sign a surplus vote agreement.

In recent weeks, the three parties agreed to run together on a unified list excluding Ra'am. Hadash issued a statement confirming their decision to proceed without Ra'am, citing that despite efforts and flexibility, no final agreement was reached with Ra'am. However, they emphasized that a joint list including all components remains the best way to increase voter turnout and replace Netanyahu's government, leaving the door open for Ra'am to join at any time.

Separately, Arab MK Ahmad Tibi stressed the importance of Arab parties in changing the government, stating, "Without the Arabs, it is impossible to replace this government."
