Without Ra'am, Balad pushes for joint list with Hadash and Ta'al
Balad said it will work to form a three-party joint list with Hadash and Ta'al by the end of June. The decision came after Ra'am announced a freeze in the negotiations, which collapsed efforts to build a four-party slate.
Balad accused Ra'am of backing away from understandings on a “technical list” and of introducing new political conditions that stalled the talks. The party said the negotiations reached an impasse because of those moves.
At the same time, Balad said the door remains open for Ra'am to join later. The party did not rule out renewed cooperation if circumstances change.
