Israeli Foreign Ministry Warns Tourists in Greece to Avoid Anti-Israel Protests and Conceal Jewish Identity

The Israeli Foreign Ministry issued a warning on Sunday about anticipated anti-Israel demonstrations across dozens of locations in Greece, including Athens, Thessaloniki, various islands, and popular tourist sites. Due to the expected scale of these protests and the potential for large gatherings and disorder, the ministry advised Israeli citizens and Jews in Greece to exercise heightened vigilance, avoid protest areas, and refrain from any confrontations with demonstrators. Additionally, it recommended concealing Israeli and Jewish symbols and avoiding real-time social media posts disclosing their locations.

The warning comes amid broader regional security concerns involving Iran's Revolutionary Guards' covert operations against Israeli and American targets in the Middle East and beyond. Intelligence reports reveal that Iran's Unit 4000, responsible for special foreign operations, has been establishing attack bases using explosive drones and unmanned aerial vehicles targeting strategic sites in Israel, as well as U.S. airbases and coalition forces in Azerbaijan, Turkey, Greece (Crete), and Cyprus. This unit was also linked to a recently foiled assassination attempt against former U.S. President Donald Trump during his NATO summit visit in Turkey, prevented partly through Israeli intelligence.
