Meanwhile, the Israeli defense establishment is increasingly concerned about the growing threat of explosive drones equipped with fiber optic guidance entering Israeli airspace. The Ministry of Defense held an urgent discussion on Thursday to explore operational and technological responses to this emerging threat. These drones cannot be disrupted by electronic warfare, forcing the IDF to deploy physical nets and various interception methods, including drone-on-drone collisions and net-launching drones. Despite recent deliveries of electro-optical detection systems and interception solutions, a comprehensive answer to this serious threat remains distant.
