17-Year-Old Killed Outside Cousin's Wedding in Negev Car Accident

Mohammad Alkarnaoi, a 17-year-old from Rahat, was fatally struck by a vehicle outside his cousin's wedding in Ar'ara in the Negev on Friday evening. The family had arrived to celebrate the joyous occasion, but the event turned tragic shortly after. Mohammad was rushed to a local clinic in Ar'ara and then transferred to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba, where he was pronounced dead due to severe head trauma. Paramedics reported that upon arrival, he was unconscious, pulseless, and not breathing, and despite prolonged resuscitation efforts, he could not be saved.

The family expressed deep shock and grief, describing the loss as a heavy tragedy that left them devastated. The incident was reported to Magen David Adom's emergency center at 22:33. Earlier on the same day, another fatal car crash occurred in the Negev involving a 35-year-old man from Rahat, Adam Alqassi, who died in a collision between two vehicles, with three others moderately injured. Additionally, a separate accident in Ashdod involved a quad bike overturning, seriously injuring two children aged 4 and 6, and moderately injuring a man.

These incidents highlight a tragic day of multiple serious traffic accidents in southern Israel, with emergency services responding to several critical injuries and fatalities.
