Shai Konstantin Joins Hapoel Rishon LeZion

Shai Konstantin has officially signed with Hapoel Rishon LeZion, the club announced on Sunday morning, confirming an earlier report by Sports Channel. The defender, who previously played for Beitar Jerusalem and spent this season at Hapoel Kfar Shalem, will remain in Israel’s second division.

Konstantin arrives with a strong profile for the National League and becomes another addition to Hapoel Rishon LeZion after Shahar Amsalem, Ori Tzaddon and Ronen Peretz. This season, he scored three goals in 20 league appearances.

The club is also trying to strengthen at center back and is battling Bnei Yehuda for Ben Veheba’s signature. Rishon LeZion has made him a particularly attractive offer, and he must now decide between the two sides.

Meanwhile, Rishon LeZion is dealing with a possible departure. Veteran defender Roy Zeriahn, one of the team’s leading players in recent years, is looking for a club abroad, and if he finds one, he may leave. The club had also tried to hold on to Ran Atouri, who had an initial agreement with them, but he ultimately signed with Ashdod, as reported by Sports Channel.
