Israeli Special Police Unit Catches Unlicensed Motorcyclist After Reckless Chase in Beersheba

In Beersheba, officers from the Israeli Special Patrol Unit (Sahar) stopped a motocross rider in his 30s who was driving recklessly without a license plate. When signaled to stop, the rider fled, driving against traffic and colliding with a car during the escape. The suspect was eventually apprehended and found to lack the proper driving license for the motorcycle. The motorcycle was confiscated and the suspect was taken to the Beersheba police station for further investigation.

The incident occurred during a routine patrol when officers noticed the motocross rider speeding dangerously through a neighborhood. The rider’s refusal to stop led to a pursuit involving serious traffic violations. Sahar unit officer Moti Tzarfati emphasized the unit’s commitment to strict enforcement against traffic offenders who endanger public safety, stating that anyone fleeing police and risking public safety will face uncompromising legal consequences as part of ongoing efforts to improve road safety and save lives.
