Over 350 Young Chabad Emissaries Gather in Israel for Unique Summer Camp and Community Projects
More than 350 children of Chabad emissaries from around the world convened in Israel last week for the annual summer camp of the Young Chabad Emissaries organization. These children, who live in remote areas across Asia, Europe, and the United States where their parents serve as Chabad emissaries, traveled long distances to participate in this unique gathering designed to foster a sense of belonging and shared experience.
The camp, managed by Yaakov Kanievsky and a team of yeshiva students, featured a family-like dynamic where older siblings serve as counselors and staff for the younger participants. The program combined experiential activities with educational sessions addressing real-life community leadership challenges, such as encouraging synagogue attendance on Shabbat and navigating modern technological issues. This year’s theme, "And He Stands Over Them," focused on empowering the children to draw strength for personal and national challenges through a sense of mission and communal responsibility.
A highlight of the camp was an evening event held at the prestigious HaPansaim hall, attended by senior organization leaders. The event honored the dedication of the children and their families and included the announcement of winners in an original entrepreneurship competition. These young participants received grants to help develop community-oriented projects, supporting the next generation of Chabad emissaries in their leadership roles worldwide.
