Bnei Akiva Launches Summer Camps for 30,000 Youth Across Israel

Bnei Akiva is set to run summer camps this year at multiple locations including Mishmar HaCarmel, Neot Kedumim, Ben Shemen Forest, Shalmon Forest, and the Jerusalem Hills. Approximately 30,000 participants will attend over the coming weeks in three camp cycles lasting about three weeks each, to accommodate the large number of youth.

For the first time, the Amikam tribe will hold a mobile camp in the Jerusalem Hills featuring a special evening focused on heroism, with participation from war heroes and representatives of bereaved families sharing their stories. The Maapilim camp will center on the theme of immigration to Israel, culminating in a major event in Atlit that connects participants to the history of the Maapilim and the dedication to building the nation.

Additionally, the HaRaHa tribe will conduct a mobile camp from Gush Etzion to Jerusalem, and a special Jubilee camp for youth with special needs from across the country will take place at Neot Kedumim, including accessible activities and overnight camping.

Bnei Akiva emphasizes safety, with a dedicated safety department overseeing all camps. Each camp will have a safety coordinator, and all staff have undergone extensive training in areas such as electrical safety, kitchen safety, risk management, and schedule planning. The organization has also prepared for extreme heat conditions by adjusting routes, providing shade and water, and coordinating with meteorological and education ministry emergency teams. A 24/7 support center will be available for any needs during the camps.

Secretary General Yigal Klein highlighted the camps’ blend of nature, community building, joy, love of the land, Torah, and work, calling it a powerful combination that engages tens of thousands of youth. He expressed hope for meaningful and safe camps that will conclude with participants returning healthy and joyful.
