New Party by Erdan and Edelstein Fails to Pass Electoral Threshold in Latest Poll

A recent i24NEWS and Direct Polls survey led by Zuriel Sharon analyzed the impact of recent political events on Israel's Knesset seat distribution. The poll shows former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett losing two seats, while the new party announced by former ministers Gilad Erdan and Yuli Edelstein fails to cross the electoral threshold.

If elections were held today, Likud would drop one seat to 28, while Yisrael Beiteinu would gain two seats, reaching 23. The Democratic Party remains steady at 10 seats, and United Torah Judaism strengthens by one seat to 9. Shas loses one seat, standing at 8, while the Joint List gains one seat to 8. The Yamina party experiences a sharp decline of two seats, falling to 7. Religious Zionism and Ra'am maintain their positions with 5 seats each.

Several parties, including the new party by Erdan and Edelstein, the Zionist Home party of Hendel and Trooper, Zehut led by Moshe Feiglin, Blue and White under Benny Gantz, the Economic Party of Yaron Zelekha, and Noam led by Avi Maoz, fail to pass the electoral threshold.

Regarding coalition blocs, the governing coalition holds 58 seats, insufficient for a majority, while the opposition has 49 seats, and Arab parties hold 13 seats. This distribution highlights ongoing political fragmentation ahead of potential elections.
