Israeli Health Ministry Warns Against Hair Products Sold at 'Hair Straightening Center' Chain
The Israeli Ministry of Health issued a public warning against using hair care products found in nine branches of the 'Hair Straightening Center' chain. Inspections revealed shampoos and hair straightening products that are not registered in the Ministry's databases, making their sale illegal. Among the unregistered products are 'PROTEIN + MINERAL PREMIUM HAIR STRAIGHTENING' and 'Protein mineral premium pre treatment shampoo.' Additionally, the 'HYDRO KERATIN PRO HAIR STRAIGHTENING GEL' was found to contain glyoxylic acid, which can cause kidney failure. The Ministry also detected formaldehyde, a carcinogenic substance banned in cosmetics, in some hair straightening products.
