Holocaust Survivor Esther Dina Plintenstein Dies at 102 in Bnei Brak

Esther Dina Plintenstein, a Holocaust survivor and respected member of the Bnei Brak community, passed away peacefully at her home at the age of 102. She collapsed at her residence on Ben Zakai Street after feeling unwell and suffering cardiac arrest. Emergency responders performed resuscitation efforts and transported her to the hospital, where doctors confirmed her death.

Born in Poland to Rabbi Yaakov Reuven, who was killed during the Holocaust, Esther Dina survived the atrocities of that period. Upon immigrating to Israel, she married Rabbi Naftali Plintenstein, a senior figure among the Kopyczynitz Hasidim, who has since passed away. Her funeral procession departed from her home in Bnei Brak and proceeded to the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, where she was laid to rest beside her husband.

Her family, including children, daughters-in-law, and numerous descendants, are currently sitting shiva at her home on Ben Zakai Street 47 in Bnei Brak, continuing her legacy and honoring her memory.
