Esther Dina Plintenstein Passes Away at 102 in Bnei Brak

Esther Dina Plintenstein, a revered Holocaust survivor and respected member of the Bnei Brak community, passed away at the age of 102. She collapsed at her home on Ben Zakai Street after feeling unwell and suffering cardiac arrest. Emergency responders performed advanced resuscitation efforts and transported her to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Born in Poland to Rabbi Yaakov Reuven, she survived the Holocaust and devoted her life to Torah and raising a faithful family. She was married to the late Rabbi Naftali Plintenstein, a senior figure in the Kopyczynitz Hasidic dynasty and uncle to the current Rebbe of Rozhin-Kopyczynitz, who passed away in 2019.

Known for her piety and kindness, Esther Dina was remembered by friends and family as a woman of great faith and generosity. Her funeral took place on Thursday morning, 23rd of Menachem Av, from her home in Bnei Brak to the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem, where she was buried beside her husband. The family is sitting shiva at her home, with specified times for condolences. Her son, Rabbi Yaakov Israel, is receiving visitors in Jerusalem. She leaves behind multiple generations of descendants, including children, in-laws, and grandchildren from the Plintenstein, Brill, and Mushkovitz families. May her soul be bound in the bond of life.
