Singer Jane Remover Threatens to Cancel M3F Festival Appearance Over Israeli Band Temper City

American singer and electronic music producer Jane Remover has threatened to withdraw from the M3F music festival in Phoenix, Arizona, scheduled for March 5-6, 2026. The 22-year-old artist made the demand after discovering that the Israeli indie-rock band Temper City is also slated to perform. In an Instagram story tagging the festival, Remover called Temper City a "IDF band" and insisted they be removed from the lineup or she would not appear.

Temper City, consisting of Eitan Peled, Chen Cordova, and Aviv Bernholtz, recently gained international recognition with their hit single "Self Aware," which reached number 37 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 12 on Spotify's global daily chart. The band members have notable musical backgrounds, with Peled having a solo hit in 2020 and Cordova and Bernholtz producing for prominent Israeli artists such as Noa Kirel, Margi, and Netta Barzilai.

Following the success of their single, Temper City embarked on their first tour in June, performing in New York, Los Angeles, and London, including unreleased new songs. The festival organizers have yet to respond publicly to Remover's ultimatum. The controversy highlights tensions surrounding Israeli artists performing internationally amid political sensitivities.
