American Singer Threatens to Cancel Show Over Israeli Band Temper City at Arizona Festival

American singer and DJ Jane Remover has threatened to withdraw from the M3F music festival in Phoenix, Arizona, scheduled for March 5-6, 2026, after discovering that the Israeli indie-rock band Temper City is also on the lineup. Remover, 22, known in the hyper-pop and electronic music scene, posted on Instagram demanding the festival remove Temper City, referring to them as an "IDF band," and stating she would not perform otherwise.

Temper City consists of three members: Eitan Feld, Chen Cordova, and Aviv Bernholtz. Their single "Self Aware" has become a global Israeli hit, reaching number 37 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 12 on Spotify's global daily chart, ranking between artists like Katy Perry and Olivia Rodrigo. Feld is also a solo artist with a 2020 hit "Where Are The Days," while Cordova and Bernholtz produce under the name Sync and have worked with Israeli stars Noa Kirel, Margi, and Netta Barzilai.

Following the success of "Self Aware," Temper City embarked on their first tour in June, performing in New York, Los Angeles, and London, showcasing new unreleased songs. The festival lineup was announced just hours before Remover's public objection. The controversy highlights tensions surrounding Israeli artists performing internationally amid political sensitivities.

The festival organizers have yet to respond publicly to Remover's demand or indicate whether Temper City's participation will be affected. The M3F festival remains scheduled to proceed in Phoenix as planned.
