MK Tali Gottlieb Condemns Central Command Chief Over Administrative Detention Dispute

A hearing is underway at the Jerusalem District Court regarding an appeal filed by Central Command Chief Aviv Blot against a decision by the Military Court of Appeals in the West Bank, which ruled that the administrative detention order against Tal Yinon Dradik is invalid. Dradik, who has been on a hunger strike for 32 days, is represented by attorney Moshe Polsky from the organization Honenu.

Outside the courtroom, Likud MK Tali Gottlieb sharply criticized Aviv Blot for renewing the administrative detention order despite Defense Minister Israel Katz's directive not to do so. Gottlieb accused Blot of defying the Defense Minister, stating, "This hearing is about a rebellion by General Blot against the Defense Minister. The order was deemed illegal, and he was given 48 hours to renew it. Israel Katz told him not to renew it and to find another solution. What does Blot do? He ignores, disrespects, and rebels against him."

Gottlieb further attacked the enforcement policies and restrictions in Judea and Samaria, rejecting the narrative of "settler violence" and emphasizing the settlers' role in protecting Israel's security. She accused the authorities of harboring "terrible hatred toward Jews in Judea and Samaria" and refused to participate in that narrative. She also criticized the security forces and the Jewish Division of the Shin Bet for alleged unequal enforcement between terror incidents and Jewish civilians in the area.
