Jonathan Shalev from Bennett's Party Files Police Complaint Over Death Threats on Social Media

Jonathan Shalev, a member of the "Together" party led by Naftali Bennett, filed a police complaint on August 5, 2026, in Tel Aviv following death threats he received on social media. The threatening message warned him to "look carefully right and left when walking on the street if you want to live" and added, "soon you will see wonders." This prompted Shalev to report the threats to the police, who have begun collecting evidence to identify the suspect.

The "Together" party confirmed the details of the complaint. A police source told N12 that there has been a recent increase in threats against public officials, leading cyber units to intensify efforts to prevent such crimes and bring perpetrators to justice before they can act on their threats. The police emphasized their around-the-clock commitment to protecting public representatives and taking firm action against those who attempt to intimidate them online or otherwise.
