Bennett's Party List Sparks Outrage Over Jonathan Shilo's High Placement

Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett's newly revealed "Achva" (Together) party list has drawn significant criticism from journalists regarding the placement of Jonathan Shilo in the tenth position. This high ranking places Shilo, a 21-year-old sergeant major, above more experienced candidates, including Vladimir Beliak, who is ranked sixteenth.

Prominent journalists voiced their astonishment and disapproval. Amit Segal questioned the logic of a sergeant major being ranked two spots ahead of a deputy director of the Mossad, calling it absurd. Michael Shemesh also highlighted the six-place difference between Shilo and Beliak, deeming it "interesting."

Josh Breiner expressed surprise at Shilo receiving a "guaranteed Knesset seat," despite acknowledging his military service and character. He questioned the rationale behind such a prominent position for someone who had "flown under the radar."

Chaim Levinson sharply criticized the decision, calling it a "joke" that Shilo was placed six spots above Beliak. The controversy is further fueled by Shilo's family connection to Bennett; Shilo is the son of the founder of Sayota, a company from which Bennett had a previous financial exit.

Other notable placements on the list include Limor Son Har Melech at fifth, Ram Ben Barak at eleventh, and Bruria Neeman Arman at twelfth.
