Likud Intensifies Complaints Against Attorney General and Police Over Incitement Against Netanyahu

The Likud party has escalated its accusations against Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara and the Israeli police, alleging ongoing incitement and threats against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Despite a previous complaint filed last month, the party claims no investigation has been initiated, nor have they received updates on any case progress or the responsible police unit. The new urgent complaint, submitted by Likud's legal advisor Ilan Bombach, highlights continued violent incitement by activist Shay Hadas, who disseminates threatening messages to tens of thousands of followers on Facebook and X (formerly Twitter).

The complaint includes evidence such as repeated images with the phrase "May you die, Amen" alongside Netanyahu's slogan "There is nothing here," and videos from past protests featuring chants like "Death to Rabin" and calls for followers to march with a black coffin shouting "Death." Bombach emphasizes this is a consistent pattern of death and burial imagery, not isolated incidents, and demands immediate updates on the investigation status, inclusion of new evidence, and urgent preventive measures against threats to the prime minister.

This development comes amid ongoing political tensions and public hostility directed at Netanyahu, with the Likud party pressing authorities to act decisively against what it describes as dangerous incitement. Police Commissioner Major General Danny Levi is also addressed in the complaint, underscoring the party's demand for law enforcement accountability and action.
