Left-Wing Activist Claims Police Chief Supports Posts Against Netanyahu Amid No Police Action

Left-wing activist Yishai Hadas continues to publish harsh posts against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, claiming public backing from Police Commissioner Major General Danny Levi. In recent posts, Hadas has repeatedly invoked Levi's name, suggesting the police chief endorses his statements, which have included severe language such as "may he die, Amen." Despite these provocative posts, the police have so far refrained from taking any action against Hadas.

The police's inaction has drawn criticism, including from the Likud party's legal advisor, Attorney Ilan Bombach, who sent a letter to Commissioner Levi last Sunday accusing the police of negligence regarding Hadas's posts. The police have not responded to these complaints. Notably, Deputy Superintendent Ruti Hauslich from the incitement unit stated that the posts do not constitute incitement.

Yesterday, Hadas posted again, writing, "Everything is kosher under the supervision of the Police Commissioner," and "It's allowed to share, kosher under the supervision of the Police Commissioner, so no need to be afraid." When asked about the lack of response from Levi and the absence of police action, the Israel Police said that every complaint is professionally examined, including this matter.

This ongoing situation highlights tensions between political activists, law enforcement, and the ruling party, with the police caught between accusations of inaction and the activist's claims of official support.
