Likud MK Files Supreme Court Petition Against Party's Primary Election Ban
Likud Member of Knesset Afif Abed has submitted a petition to Israel's Supreme Court challenging a recent decision by the Likud party's internal court. The ruling prohibits current and former Knesset members, ministers, and deputy ministers from running in certain districts during the party's primary elections. Later the same day, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is also expected to file a petition opposing this decision.
