Couple From Eilat Repeats Theft Crimes After Previous Convictions in Northern Israel

Eliran and Sivan Bohbot, a couple from Eilat, were recently suspected of stealing goods worth approximately 100,000 shekels during a vacation in Eilat. Four years earlier, they were convicted of a similar but more severe crime involving a series of thefts from stores in northern Israel. At that time, 20 indictments were filed against them. Eliran served a prison sentence, while Sivan was sentenced by a community court and sent to rehabilitation. Despite their past convictions, the couple repeated the same offenses. In the latest incident, Eliran was arrested again, whereas Sivan was released to care for their children.
