Tel Aviv Daycare Owner and Two Assistants Charged with Multiple Child Abuse Offenses
The State Prosecutor's Office has filed indictments in the Tel Aviv District Court and Magistrate's Court against the owner of the "Gan Chiyuchim" daycare center in Tel Aviv and two assistants. They face numerous charges related to assault and abuse of toddlers under their care. In one incident, an assistant caused a toddler to suffer a broken arm. Ortal Levi, one of the assistants, is charged with aggravated assault causing serious injury, assault under aggravating circumstances, and child abuse. Nataly Shahar, the daycare owner, is accused of aggravated assault and breach of duty as a parent or guardian. Another assistant, Ronit Shira Ariel, aged 63, faces charges of assault under aggravating circumstances.
