Former Survivor Contestant Niron Regev Attacks Channel 12 Journalist Omri Maniv Over Netanyahu Allegations
Omri Maniv, a journalist for Channel 12, shared on social media harsh messages he received from Niron Regev, a former contestant on the reality show Survivor and current CEO of the Hapoel Lod football team. Regev's messages included severe insults and threats directed at Maniv, calling him a "snitch" and wishing him to "die in agony." These attacks came after Maniv published testimonies over the weekend from a former employee of the ex-Prime Minister's residence, who filed a lawsuit alleging severe workplace abuse by Sara Netanyahu, the Prime Minister's wife.
Regev did not retract his statements and posted a story on Instagram further condemning Maniv and others he labeled as "state witnesses" and "snitches," invoking a religious phrase wishing no hope for them. Regev, who participated in Survivor season 12 about three years ago and was among the first eliminated, has a background as a model and political advisor to Israeli politicians Miri Regev and Oren Hazan.
Currently, he leads the Hapoel Lod Bnei Regev football club, which competes in Liga Bet South. The incident highlights tensions surrounding the ongoing public discourse about the Netanyahu family and their alleged workplace conduct, with Regev openly confronting a journalist reporting on these sensitive issues.
