Manuel Benson Returns to Maccabi Haifa Squad After Three Months

Maccabi Haifa is preparing for its Toto Cup match against Ironi Tiberias on Tuesday, aiming to secure its first points after losing the chance to reach the semifinals. The team will see the return of winger Manuel Benson to the squad for the first time since May, following his recovery from an Achilles tendon inflammation. Benson has been resting and undergoing treatment and will gradually receive playing time to prepare for the league opener against Hapoel Ramat Gan. He is expected to come off the bench against Tiberias.

Andrea Novakovic will not be part of the squad as he has only resumed running training after missing sessions due to a virus, delaying his debut in the green jersey. Meanwhile, Guy Melamed, who appeared as a substitute in the last two games, may start in place of Adam Grimberg. Additionally, the club continues to search for a goalkeeper to join the squad amid complications with Hapoel Petah Tikva regarding Omer Katz, who has reportedly already agreed to terms with Haifa.
