Ruslana Rodina Defends Son Yan Amid Criticism, Opens Up on New Relationship

Ruslana Rodina spoke publicly for the first time about her son Yan Golan, her new relationship, and her ex-husband Itay Paz’s recent engagement. At the "Dino-Land" launch event in Holon, Rodina was accompanied by her 11-year-old son Yan, who recently starred alongside her in his first fashion campaign for a children's clothing capsule collection.

Rodina described her new partner, Ami Berda, whom she met abroad through mutual friends before reconnecting in Israel. She said their relationship progressed quickly but they are taking time to understand it fully. Regarding her ex-husband Itay Paz, who proposed to his new partner recently, Rodina confirmed she knew about it, maintains some contact with him, and wishes him well. Paz remains involved in Yan’s life, which Rodina said makes her very happy.

Addressing criticism and online comments about Yan’s modeling debut, Rodina firmly defended her son, emphasizing that he is just a child and should not bear the consequences of their public lives. She stated she does not care about maintaining appearances and will always support Yan’s choices. Rodina acknowledged the harshness of public scrutiny in Israel, especially for children of celebrities, and called for more understanding and separation between parents’ actions and their children’s experiences.

Rodina also revealed that Yan had previously declined many modeling offers but eventually wanted to try it, so she supported him. She stressed that Yan understands he must work for what he wants and that she will protect him from negativity as a devoted mother.
