Israeli Comedians Eli Yatzpan and Shahar Hasson Star Together in New Film Inspired by 'Givat Halfon'

Israeli comedians Eli Yatzpan and Shahar Hasson are collaborating for the first time in the upcoming film "Giv'a 338," which premieres this Thursday. The movie is a modern take inspired by the iconic Israeli comedy "Givat Halfon Eina Ona," featuring new characters and storylines related to current military events. In a joint interview on "Hadashot HaBoker," Yatzpan and Hasson discussed their experience working together, with Hasson expressing admiration for Yatzpan as a top comedian and Yatzpan praising Hasson's talent and energy.

The film also stars Yatzpan's daughter, Noa Yatzpan, marking her acting debut alongside her father. Eli Yatzpan shared his excitement about her casting, saying, "It was exciting when I found out she was chosen for the role. She was very excited and did it well. I hope she finds a better job than this; she has registered at Reichman University, which reassures me."

While the new film draws inspiration from the original "Givat Halfon," both comedians emphasized that it is a completely new production with a distinct storyline. Yatzpan acknowledged the original's legendary status, saying, "We don't dare compete with the original Givat Halfon," while Hasson added that they aimed to reflect contemporary military themes and introduce fresh characters.

The collaboration between Yatzpan and Hasson has been a fulfilling experience for both, fulfilling Hasson's dream to work with Yatzpan and allowing them to blend their comedic talents in a fresh cinematic project.
