Massive Attack Members Banned From Singapore After Raising Palestinian Flag

Two members of the British band Massive Attack have been banned from re-entering Singapore after they raised a Palestinian flag on stage at the end of their concert in the country. The local authorities issued the two musicians with "serious warnings" and announced that the band itself will no longer be permitted to perform in Singapore. The police and the media regulatory authority stated that introducing foreign political symbols could harm the nation’s inter-religious and inter-ethnic harmony. Singapore prohibits the public display of flags, national symbols, and posters representing foreign countries without prior approval.
