76-Year-Old Taxi Driver Kills Woman and Injures Daughter in Nahariya Accident
A 76-year-old taxi driver in Nahariya fatally struck a 67-year-old woman on Ben-Zvi Boulevard on Friday morning. The woman's 27-year-old daughter, who was walking beside her, was moderately injured in the collision. The driver sustained minor injuries. The incident was reported to Magen David Adom's emergency center at 11:10 AM. Paramedic Reut Mashali described the mother as unconscious and without vital signs at the scene, with severe trauma. Despite resuscitation efforts, she was pronounced dead upon arrival at Galilee Medical Center in Nahariya. The daughter was hospitalized with limb injuries and remains conscious in the emergency room. The taxi driver is also receiving treatment there. Police investigators from the Asher district have opened an inquiry into the circumstances of the crash.
