Prominent Baal Shem Tov Hasid Rabbi Menachem Nahum Rabinovitch Passes Away in Jerusalem
Rabbi Menachem Nahum Rabinovitch, a respected elder of the Baal Shem Tov Hasidic community in Jerusalem, passed away on Friday night after enduring severe suffering. Born to Rabbi Avraham Eliezer Rabinovitch, he married the daughter of Rabbi Yisrael Nach Eisenbach. Throughout his life, Rabbi Rabinovitch was deeply connected to the Baal Shem Tov Rebbe and dedicated himself tirelessly to Torah study and spiritual devotion. Known for his integrity, humility, and selflessness, he faced his final years of illness with acceptance and silence. He died on Thursday, the 16th of Menachem-Av, leaving behind a blessed lineage including many children, sons-in-law, and descendants.
The funeral procession took place on Friday night at 10:00 PM, starting from the Shamgar Funeral Home, passing through the large Baal Shem Tov Hasidic synagogue on 44 Malchei Yisrael Street, and concluding with burial at Har HaMenuchot. The family is sitting shiva at the home of his daughter, the Shapira family, located at 2 Kanig Street in Beitar Illit. May his soul be bound in the bond of life.
