The story · English

The Lufthansa Group is expanding its operations in Israel ahead of August. Swiss Airlines, part of the group, will resume daily flights from Zurich to Tel Aviv starting next week, marking its return since Operation Guardian of the Walls. On the upcoming Saturday, a Swiss flight from Zurich will land at Ben Gurion Airport, restarting the airline's Israel service. Throughout August, Lufthansa Group will operate 54 weekly flights to and from Israel, up from 29 in July. Besides Swiss, Lufthansa will maintain two daily flights between Frankfurt and Tel Aviv, adding two daily flights from Munich in August. Austrian Airlines will increase its Vienna-Tel Aviv flights from 11 to 14 weekly, and Brussels Airlines will resume one weekly flight between Brussels and Tel Aviv starting August 5.

Separately, Israir announced it will restart direct flights from Israel to Marrakech, Morocco, beginning September. The weekly flights will run every Tuesday afternoon, with return flights at midnight the same day, priced from $299 one way. This service is planned for two months, ending in October. Earlier this month, Arkia also declared it will resume its direct flights to Marrakech on August 24 after a three-year hiatus, operating twice weekly with fares starting at $329 one way.
