Man Shoots Two in Tayibe, Killing One and Seriously Wounding Another

Mahmoud Bashara, a 30-year-old from Tira, has been indicted by the Central District Prosecutor's Office for the intentional murder of Bakr Nasirat and attempted murder of his cousin. The incident occurred about a month ago near their home in Tayibe, where Bashara ambushed the two victims at close range, shooting them with two loaded pistols. Nasirat was killed, and his cousin was seriously injured.

According to the indictment filed by attorney Hind Nablasi, Bashara arrived at the Tayibe residence in advance, covering his face with a shirt and wearing gloves. When the victims arrived in two vehicles, he approached and fired multiple shots at both, emptying his weapons. He first shot at his cousin through the car window, then fired several shots at Nasirat, including one to the head. After the shooting, Bashara fled the scene.

The indictment further states that Bashara discarded the pistols, shirt, and gloves in an abandoned yard and was apprehended by police several days later. He reportedly tried to mislead Nasirat's family by shouting, "Who shot him?" to deny involvement. Charges include intentional murder with aggravating circumstances, attempted murder, severe injury, illegal possession of weapons and ammunition, and obstruction of justice.

The prosecution requested Bashara remain in custody until the end of legal proceedings, citing his premeditation, high danger to the public, and the severity of the attack in a densely populated residential area. The use of two firearms, close-range shooting, and continuous firing until ammunition depletion demonstrate his clear intent to kill.
