Bakkar Nuseirat Shot Dead at Home in Renewed Family Feud in Tayibe

Bakkar Nuseirat, 19, was fatally shot at the entrance to his home in Tayibe early Sunday morning, shortly after returning from a wedding with family members. Another young man in his twenties was seriously injured and taken to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba. Police from the Central District have launched an investigation, suspecting the killing stems from an ongoing extended family dispute. Authorities are examining whether the shooting is connected to a previous blood feud that resulted in the murder of Bakkar's cousin, Moatasem Nuseirat, last year.

Bakkar Nuseirat had been arrested in August 2025 on suspicion of ordering a killing related to a land dispute but was released due to lack of evidence and no charges were filed. The fatal shooting reportedly occurred at the exact location where his cousin was murdered. Following Moatasem's murder, a reconciliation was reached between the feuding parties, with a key condition that Bakkar's family leave the home and not return. However, the family moved back several weeks ago, raising fears that the truce has collapsed.

Emergency medical services received the shooting report at 00:33. Paramedics found Bakkar unconscious with severe penetrating wounds and performed prolonged resuscitation efforts before transporting him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The second victim was conscious but in critical condition. This incident is part of a series of five murders reported overnight and early Sunday across central Israel, highlighting a surge in violent incidents in the region.
