Central District Prosecution Charges Mahmoud Bashara with Murder in Tayibe Shooting

The Central District Prosecutor's Office has filed charges against Mahmoud Bashara, a man in his twenties from Tira, for the murder of 19-year-old Bakr Nusayrat at the entrance to his home in Tayibe on June 28. Bashara is also charged with attempted murder of Nadim Nusayrat. Investigation revealed that Bashara premeditated the attack, armed himself with two pistols, and ambushed the victims for about an hour and a half before opening fire with dozens of bullets. After a five-day manhunt, police located Bashara hiding in a safe house in Tira. The indictment accuses him of aggravated murder, attempted murder, and additional offenses, with a request for his detention until the conclusion of legal proceedings.
