Jerusalem Man Arrested for Impersonating Security Officer and Smuggling 21 Illegal Immigrants
Israeli Border Police arrested a man in his 30s from the Beit Hanina neighborhood of Jerusalem on suspicion of impersonating a security forces officer and smuggling 21 illegal immigrants from the West Bank. The suspect allegedly approached checkpoints urgently, falsely presenting himself as en route to an urgent operational mission. During an operation, forces identified the man arriving at a checkpoint in a white commercial Chevrolet Savana equipped with flashing signal devices. When ordered to stop, he broke through the barrier and attempted to flee. A search of his vehicle uncovered 21 illegal immigrants hidden behind a double wall installed in the vehicle.
