Real Madrid Considers Alternative to Maccabi Tel Aviv's Luni Walker Amid Transfer Complications

With the EuroLeague season less than two months away, the future of Luni Walker remains uncertain. Initially, Real Madrid was seen as the leading candidate to sign the Maccabi Tel Aviv star, who appears closer to leaving the Israeli club. However, recent reports from Spain suggest the transfer may be more complicated than first thought. According to journalist Chema de Lucas, removing Walker from Maccabi Tel Aviv is a complex move due to his contract, which still has two years remaining. Consequently, Real Madrid is now showing interest in another player, Lester Quinones, who holds a Dominican passport and would not occupy a foreign player slot under Spanish league rules.

Quinones, 25, standing 1.93 meters tall, began the season in the G League with the Orlando Magic, averaging 22.9 points per game with efficient shooting percentages, along with 5 rebounds and 2.9 assists. He finished the season playing in China for Qingdao, delivering strong performances in limited games. Quinones has also played 54 NBA games with Golden State, Philadelphia, and New Orleans.
