Israeli Woman Denied UK Flight After Mistakenly Marking Herself as Terrorist on Entry Form

Yuval Mizrahi, an Israeli woman planning a vacation in London, was barred from boarding her flight after she accidentally marked herself as a "terrorist" instead of a "tourist" on the UK's online entry form (ETA). The incident occurred at the airport under significant time pressure while she was quickly filling out the forms. In an interview on the program "HaOlam HaBoker," Mizrahi explained that she was told her entry would not be in the public interest. The key issue was that the decision was made entirely by an automated system, which did not allow her to correct the simple human error or appeal the decision in real time. This mistake instantly transformed her from an innocent tourist into a potential security threat in the eyes of the algorithm, with no opportunity to clarify the circumstances. Mizrahi also noted that this problem is not unique to her, as she received dozens of messages from others who faced the same issue.
