Court Extends Detention of Suspects in Northern Israel Teen Rape Case

The court in Nof HaGalil extended the detention of suspects accused of raping three teenage girls in northern Israel. The adult suspect and one minor had their detention extended by five days, while the detention of another minor suspect was extended until the following day. The alleged incident took place last week during a social gathering at an apartment in the Emek region, where the girls, residents of northern Israel, were reportedly assaulted.

The victims filed their sexual assault complaints at the Emek police station the morning before the court ruling. One of the suspects, a minor, denies the accusations of coercion, claiming that one of the girls consented to the sexual activity. His lawyer, Nadav Grinold, stated that the suspect admitted to having sexual relations with one complainant but insisted it was consensual, noting that the girl was of similar age and initiated the contact. The defense anticipates the suspect’s release once all details are clarified.

The investigation continues as authorities examine the conflicting accounts and gather further evidence regarding the serious allegations.
