Israeli Court Extends Detention of Three West Bank Residents Over Ramla Gang Rape Allegation

The Magistrate's Court in Rishon Lezion has extended the detention of three West Bank residents by five days on suspicion of involvement in the gang rape of a young woman in Ramla. The victim reported to the police about two weeks ago that she was gang-raped in an apartment inhabited by West Bank residents who work in Israel. Initially, one West Bank resident working legally in Israel was arrested, followed by the detention of two additional suspects. One of the suspects claimed the sexual encounter was consensual. A gag order has been imposed on the investigation details.
