Barcelona Rates Hapoel Tel Aviv More Attractive Than Maccabi Tel Aviv for EuroLeague Season

Barcelona has revealed its EuroLeague season ticket structure for the 2026/27 season, once again dividing its opponents into two distinct categories based on perceived attractiveness. The club offers three types of season tickets: a full-access pass to all home games including playoffs, and two other packages that segment opponents by their marketing appeal to Barcelona fans.

The premium package, called "Top 9," includes games against nine teams Barcelona considers the most attractive matchups. This list features Olympiacos, Panathinaikos, Fenerbahçe, Villeurbanne, Paris Basketball, Crvena Zvezda Belgrade, Valencia, ASVEL Villeurbanne, and notably Hapoel Tel Aviv. The starting price for this package is 119 euros.

Conversely, Maccabi Tel Aviv is placed in the lower-tier package of nine additional games, which costs significantly less, starting at 75 euros. This group includes Partizan Belgrade, Bayern Munich, Žalgiris Kaunas, Beşiktaş, Anadolu Efes, Baskonia, Milan, and Virtus Bologna. This division reflects Barcelona's marketing assessment of its EuroLeague rivals, with Hapoel Tel Aviv ranked higher than city rival Maccabi Tel Aviv in terms of fan interest and ticket pricing.

The announcement came just hours before the official release of the full EuroLeague schedule for the upcoming season, providing insight into how Barcelona views its competition and the relative appeal of Israeli teams in the continental basketball scene.
