Barcelona Prioritizes Hapoel Over Maccabi in Season Ticket Sales for EuroLeague
As EuroLeague teams prepare for the upcoming season, Barcelona has announced its season ticket structure for the second consecutive year, distinguishing between different rival groups. The Spanish club will offer three types of season tickets, with the most comprehensive granting access to all home games in the city. The second tier, called the 'Top 9' season ticket, provides entry to games against the nine strongest rivals as identified by the club. This group includes Olympiacos, Panathinaikos, Fenerbahce, Villeurbanne, Paris Basket, Crvena Zvezda Belgrade, Valencia, Dubai, and notably, Hapoel Tel Aviv. This ticket starts at 119 euros.
The third and most affordable option, priced from 75 euros, covers games against the other nine teams, which include Partizan Belgrade, Bayern Munich, Zalgiris, Besiktas, Anadolu Efes, Baskonia, Milan, Virtus, and Maccabi Tel Aviv. This categorization reflects Barcelona's assessment of the competitive hierarchy within the league, placing Hapoel Tel Aviv in a higher tier than Maccabi Tel Aviv for the second year running. The announcement was made public on July 29, 2026, amid ongoing summer preparations by EuroLeague clubs to strengthen their rosters.
