Antisemitic Attack in Berlin Targets Jewish Community Member with Nazi Salute and Death Threats

A senior member of Berlin's Jewish community was threatened with murder while walking to synagogue last Saturday. Two men verbally assaulted him with antisemitic slurs, and one repeatedly gave a Nazi salute shouting "Heil Hitler." The police have arrested the main suspect involved in the incident. The disturbing event was documented by Shlomo Afensav from the Jewish community in Berlin, who shared the footage on social media, emphasizing that antisemitism is a current reality, not just a historical memory. He stressed the painful reality that Jews in Germany still fear for their safety on their way to places of worship and called for vigilance against hatred.

In a related context, the German magazine Der Spiegel recently reported on Hamas's new leader, Khalil al-Hayya, who succeeded Yahya Sinwar. The article highlighted Hamas's goal to establish a Palestinian state over all historic Palestine and to destroy the State of Israel.
