Gynecologist Dr. Guy Bibi Leaves Clalit Health Services Amid Sexual Harassment Allegations

Dr. Guy Bibi, a gynecologist accused by multiple patients of sexual harassment, has ended his employment with Clalit Health Services four years after a major investigative report aired on Kan News. The report featured testimonies from women who claimed Bibi touched, hugged, kissed them, and proposed meetings outside the clinic. Despite complaints received by Clalit prior to the broadcast, Bibi continued working there until recently.

A hearing for potential dismissal was scheduled for Bibi, but he resigned before it took place. Recently, another patient came forward describing an incident in his private clinic where he inappropriately touched her leg near the groin while she was in a vulnerable position. She filed a complaint with the Ministry of Health, emphasizing the need to prevent further harm to other patients.

Several other women shared similar experiences, including inappropriate touching during examinations and unwanted physical contact. One patient recounted Bibi presenting himself as a "good Israeli guy" and attempting to play a savior role, while another described a disturbing encounter at her home after he offered to bring her contraceptive pills.

Mital Benshak, Deputy Director of the "Healthy Fund" promoting women's rights in healthcare, condemned the ongoing reports and urged the Ministry of Health to act decisively to protect patients. Clalit stated that Bibi resigned voluntarily, negating the need for dismissal proceedings. The Ministry of Health confirmed receipt of the latest complaint and reiterated its zero-tolerance policy toward sexual misconduct.

Bibi's attorney, Eran Keizman, denied receiving any complaints from the Ministry of Health and said Bibi resigned for personal reasons. The case highlights ongoing concerns about patient safety and accountability within Israeli healthcare institutions.
