Israeli Man Steals Truck in Eilat and Drives to South Hebron Without License
A 58-year-old resident of Eilat was charged on Tuesday after stealing an Iveco truck from the city and driving it north along Route 90 to the South Hebron area without ever having obtained a license for such a vehicle. The incident began when the truck was parked in the Shde neighborhood of Eilat. The suspect entered the vehicle, started it, and embarked on a long drive without mandatory insurance or a proper driving license. Police located and arrested the suspect in Eilat a few days after the theft. During interrogation, it was revealed that he operated the heavy truck without any legal authorization or training. The Eilat Police District's prosecution unit filed charges against him for vehicle theft, driving without a suitable license, and driving without insurance.
