Israeli UN Ambassador Denounces Security Council's Call to Supply Gaza Amid Hamas Threat

During a heated United Nations Security Council meeting on Tuesday, Israeli Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon sharply criticized the international community's approach to Gaza, accusing it of hypocrisy and warning that Hamas will not change its terrorist ways. Danon emphasized that Israel has fulfilled all its obligations, while Hamas persistently refuses to disarm and continues to pursue terrorism. He stated, "Israel will not wait to win. We understand that if we do not disarm Hamas, no one else will."

Danon detailed the ongoing conflict with Hamas and underscored Israel's exclusive responsibility to protect its citizens. He highlighted that the world has waited months for Hamas to change, but the group has rejected all peace proposals and remains committed to terror. "The responsibility lies with us, and we will fulfill it," he declared.

A central focus of the discussion was the demand by some Security Council members for Israel to lift restrictions on dual-use goods entering Gaza. Danon responded harshly, accusing these members of double standards by insisting Israel allow materials that Hamas converts into rockets and tunnels. He recalled Hamas boasting about turning water pipes into missiles and firmly stated that Israel will not supply raw materials to a terrorist organization. "As long as Hamas controls Gaza, we will not allow it to rearm or provide tools for the next massacre," he concluded.
