Be'er Sheva Deputy Mayor and Channel 14 Panelist Shimon Tubul Joins Noam Party

Shimon Tubul, deputy mayor of Be'er Sheva and a panelist on Channel 14, announced his joining the Noam party led by Knesset member Avi Maoz. Tubul, a prominent figure in the religious Zionist community, has served on Be'er Sheva's city council since 2013 and currently holds the environment portfolio and leads a three-seat faction. He began his political career with the Degel HaTorah party but is now making a significant political shift.

Tubul's public service experience includes serving as CEO of the Beit Yosef institutions, involvement in founding United Hatzalah in the Negev capital, and leading social projects. He also serves as a reservist combat soldier in the Givati Brigade, having completed hundreds of reserve days during Operation Iron Swords and receiving a divisional commendation.

Tubul stated, "I am joining Noam out of a deep belief that now is the time to do everything to save the right-wing government and the world of Torah." He emphasized the need for leadership that unites the public, preserves Jewish identity, and leads with values loyal to Torah, the people of Israel, and the Land of Israel.

Avi Maoz welcomed Tubul's move, describing him as a grassroots public leader combining educational and social work, and said his joining would help connect new audiences and strengthen Jewish identity. The announcement comes amid reports of a pending indictment against Tubul related to an incident during his reserve service. Noam expressed full support for Tubul, criticizing the civilian prosecution's intervention after military investigations had cleared him with full backing from his commanders.
