Rabbi Shimon Tubul Joins Noam LeIsrael List, Citing Jewish Identity and Soldier Support

Rabbi Shimon Tubul, placed third on the Noam LeIsrael party list, describes his entry into politics as a mission inspired by his encounters with soldiers during the recent Iron Swords conflict. Invited personally by Rabbi Tzvi Israel Tau, Tubul accepted the role out of a sense of responsibility for Israel's future rather than political ambition. Reflecting on his time called up to reserve duty, Tubul recalls witnessing soldiers reaffirming their Jewish identity through religious acts before difficult missions, emphasizing that this identity is the core strength sustaining the Israeli people.

Tubul also addresses the indictment filed against him related to an incident following an operational activity in Jabalia. He explains that he intervened to assist a person who felt threatened by a vehicular attack attempt, acting in accordance with military protocols. He states that military investigations supported his conduct and expresses confidence that his innocence will be proven in court. Tubul connects this personal legal challenge to his party's central message of protecting IDF soldiers, asserting that those who serve Israel with honor should be shielded from harm or legal persecution.

Discussing his transition from local public work to national politics, Tubul acknowledges the significant challenge but embraces it with determination, likening it to a soldier's gradual progression through military ranks.
