Hapoel Ra'anana Targets Nigerian Striker James Adeniyi for Key Signing

Hapoel Ra'anana has officially approached Nigerian striker James Adeniyi as part of their efforts to strengthen the squad ahead of the upcoming season in the Israeli National League. The 33-year-old forward, who has a notable history in Israeli football, previously played for several clubs including Ironi Kiryat Shmona, Maccabi Petah Tikva, Hapoel Hadera, Hapoel Petah Tikva, and Bnei Sakhnin. Adeniyi joined Kiryat Shmona in the summer of 2019, scoring 4 goals and providing 4 assists in 20 appearances. Over his career in the Israeli Premier League, he has accumulated 17 goals and 12 assists in 100 matches.

The initiative to sign Adeniyi comes from Hapoel Ra'anana's coach, Adam Lam, who aims to avoid relegation battles in the National League next season by adding experienced players. Despite Adeniyi's demand in the National League, Ra'anana is reportedly the first club to make an official offer. Alongside Adeniyi, Peter Michael has already joined the team, signaling Ra'anana's intent to bolster their roster significantly.
