Hapoel Ra'anana Pursues Nigerian Striker James Adeniyi for Key Signing

Hapoel Ra'anana has officially approached Nigerian striker James Adeniyi as part of their efforts to strengthen the squad ahead of the upcoming season. The 33-year-old forward, who has extensive experience in Israeli football, previously played for several clubs including Ironi Kiryat Shmona, Maccabi Petah Tikva, Hapoel Hadera, Hapoel Petah Tikva, and Bnei Sakhnin. Adeniyi joined Kiryat Shmona in the summer of 2019, where he scored 4 goals and provided 4 assists in 20 appearances. Over his career in the Israeli Premier League, he has accumulated 17 goals and 12 assists in 100 matches.

The initiative to sign Adeniyi comes from Hapoel Ra'anana's coach, Adam Lam, who is seeking significant reinforcements to avoid relegation battles in the National League next season. Despite Adeniyi's demand in the National League, Ra'anana is currently the only club to have made an official offer. Alongside the potential signing of Adeniyi, Peter Michael has already joined the team from the Sharon region.

This move signals Hapoel Ra'anana's intent to build a competitive squad for the upcoming campaign in Israel's second division.
