Rabbi Yosef Karmizi, Esteemed Bnei Brak Leader, Passes Away at 71
Rabbi Yosef Karmizi, a revered and humble figure from Bnei Brak, passed away on Tuesday at Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv at the age of 71. Known for his devout commitment to Torah study and prayer, Rabbi Karmizi was respected for his noble character and gentle spirit. Throughout his life, he remained dedicated to religious learning and was deeply involved in charitable acts and supporting the community, especially in sustaining the kollels (Torah study centers).
Friends and family recall him as a man who sanctified God's name through his refined character and who raised his descendants with a pure fear of Heaven. His sudden passing has left his loved ones and acquaintances in profound grief. Rabbi Karmizi is survived by a blessed lineage, including the Karmizi, Botbol, Ben Shoshan, Beitan, and Atl families.
The funeral will take place this evening, Tuesday, the 14th of Menachem Av, starting at 6:00 PM from his home at 38 Avraham Ben David Street in Bnei Brak, proceeding to the Ponovezh cemetery in the city for burial.
